Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump
shared the stage of Howdy Modi event on Sunday, where PM Narendra Modi was
accorded a rousing welcome from the crowd of 50,000 Indian-Americans at the NRG Stadium, Houston.
This mega event saw the two world leaders addressing 50,000
Indian-Americans amidst the massive crowd. While the audience splurged with
splendid enthusiasm, PM Narendra Modi took the helm of the event, endorsing
Donald Trump quoting ‘Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar.’ US President Donald Trump too
showered praises on his close companion and friend.
The US Media, for the first time, gushed during a joint
address by the US President and Indian Prime Minister as Trump played second fiddle
to PM Modi. This event organised by the non-profit Texas Indian Forum shed
light on the strong contributions of Indo-Americans in the US and the unbreakable
ties between the two countries.
Many artists from India and Texas performed various cultural
programmes to mark the happiness associated with the event. While the event
thrived much possession, PM Modi and US President Donald Trump took a lap
around the stadium meeting various CEOs of the Energy sector.

“I met CEOs of energy sector y' day, they looked excited by
India's decision to slash corporate tax. They gave feedback that this decision
has sent a positive message in not only India but among global business
leaders, this will make India more competitive globally,” said PM Modi.
He addressed a speech to the gathering mentioning that
President Trump calls him a ‘tough negotiator’ but Trump himself is the master
in ‘art of the deal.’ During his speech, he also mentioned initiating a decisive battle against terrorism reminding everybody of the 9/11 attacks in the US
and 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. PM Modi’s speech lasting for hours stressed
on the firm stand taken by Donald Trump in the fight against terrorism, while he
also glanced more into the subject of abrogation of Article 370 and people
having a problem with it.
“Some people have a problem with the abrogation of Article 370. These are the same people who cannot govern their own country properly. These are the same people who shield terrorism and nurture it. The whole world knows them very well. Article 370 had deprived people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh of development. Terror and separatist elements were misusing the situation. Now people there have got equal rights,” said PM Modi.
Considering
the prospering development he also shed light on deriving concrete methods in
making a transparent ecosystem. Promoting Digital India’s girth, he urged
people to pivot on it for ease of living. Reminding everyone of 2nd
October, PM Modi strived in support of celebrating the 150th birth
anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and bid people say goodbye to open defecation.

of diversity and a vibrant democracy of India, PM Modi spoke of the chemistry
built-in Indo-US synergy. As soon as Donald Trump took the podium, he spoke of
honouring all the American and Indian military service members who protect
civilians from Islamic terrorism.
The US President
went on praising the constant support by India talking of border security and a committed relationship between the two countries.
“India
has never invested in the United States like it is doing today, and I want to say
it is reciprocal because we are doing the same thing in India. Our relationship
today is stronger than ever before and we are grounded in the commitment to
democracy. As a result of PM Modi's pro-growth policies, India has lifted
nearly 300 million out of poverty, and that is an incredible number,” said
Donald Trump.
He also gave his warm wishes to PM Modi for
his birthday since he turned 69 last week. PM Modi kept on clapping along with
the audience as Donald Trump described him as America’s greatest and most loyal
friend.

Bolstered with such compliments and
praises, PM Modi took the stage by ringing loud and clear, “Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar.”
His reverent style of getting along with his ‘close friend’ was unstoppable as
he amiably admired Trump with equal energy saying that his sense of leadership
and passion for America goes deep.

by The Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner as the signet of respect and
solidarity in standing with America.
