B. A (Hons) in Journalism is a highly sought after course of the University of Delhi. The process of matriculation into this course is as meticulous as the course itself.
APPLICATION
In order to apply for B.A (Hons) Journalism in DU, one needs to fill out an application form which one can get from the five colleges that offer Journalism namely Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Kalindi College, Kamla Nehru College, Lady Shri Ram College and Maharaja Agrasen College and should be submitted at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.

Delhi University conducts a 120 minutes long Common Journalism Entrance Test which is divided into two sections, Objective and Subjective. The objective section includes questions related to Current Affairs and General Awareness which need to be answered on an OMR sheet whereas the subjective section includes Media Awareness, Social Issues, English Comprehension and Grammar.
SELECTION PROCESS
One needs to clear the written test. After considering one’s performance in the written test and class XII marks, they are called for a round of interviews. The written test carries 50% weight while class XII marks and interview carry 35% and 15% weightage respectively.
After the interview and written test, the department will process a list of students selected on the basis of their ranks. They will be called for a round of counselling where they will get the college.
ELIGIBILITY
The required eligibility for a student to enrol oneself in the course is that the student should have cleared Senior Secondary Examination with a minimum of 70%, English being a compulsory subject with a required score of at least 60%. Students from OBC quota need to have a minimum of 60% in class 12th while students from SC/ST quota require passing in 12th. However, the criterion for OBC/SC/ST requires them to have a minimum of 50% marks in English in 12th standard. .
