I remember going to one of these parks in the high season during summer and although it was crowded and we couldn’t get on the rides early, we still managed to have a lot of fun. Spending time with family as well as friends in one day? I couldn’t have asked for a better place to do so. While Disneyland is the first place that comes into our mind when we think of a park, there are other places in the world that offer experiences worth treasuring forever.

Universal Studios, Singapore


Universal Studios is a theme park on Sentosa Island, Singapore that features 28 rides, shows and attractions in 7 themed zones that include Hollywood, New York, Sci-fi City, Far Far Away, Madagascar, the Lost World and Ancient Egypt. Tickets start at $74 SGD per day and it is open from 10 AM to 8 PM. It described as being “one of its kinds” in the world and with so many roller coasters and activities to do, we can’t wait to spend a day here.

Gardaland, Italy


It is considered to be one of the top 10 amusement parks in the world. Gardaland opened in 1975 and is adjacent to Lake Garda. With a total of 36 attractions, you should visit Gardaland at least once in your life. Some of the best rides of this amusement park include Blue Tornado, Raptor, Magic Mountain, Sequoia Adventure and many more. Tickets start from 24 Euros per day and it is open on all days from 10 AM to 11 PM.

Wonderla, India


One of the top amusement parks of India, Wonderla is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. There are various virtual reality experiences and ferry wheels, and it strikes a perfect balance between fun, food and adventure. Some of its crazy rides include Wavy and Vertical Fall, Techno Jump, Maverick and Equinox. Tickets range from INR 1050-1300 and it is open from 11 AM to 6 PM.

Wild Wadi, UAE


Wild Wadi is a water park in Dubai, UAE, next to Burj Al Arab, and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The 21-year-old park has 17 water slides and 3 pools, all with an exotic Arabian Theme. There’s plenty to occupy the kids, teenagers as well as adults with the artificial surfing machines, wave pool and multiple water slides. The most popular rides include Jumeirah Sceirah, Rushing Rapids, Tantrum Alley and Tunnel of Doom.
