“On April 27 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM) NCHMCT JEE 2019 was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). NCHMCT JEE 2019 Admit cards were released on April 3. What is NCHMCT or NCHMCT JEE?

NCHMCT JEE is a National Level Exam for undergraduate students in Hospitality streams, which is conducted once in a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is computer-based mode. Candidates appearing for NCHMCT JEE exam can take admission in two undergraduate courses B.SC in Hotel Administration & Hospitality. An autonomous body of NCHMCT is under the Ministry Of Tourism, which regulates admission to Hospitality Professional courses that are offered at below affiliated Sectors:

 

  • 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management
  • 21 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management
  • 20 Private Institutes of Hotel Management

NCHMCT JEE 2019- Qualifying Exam Eligibility Criteria

  • It is compulsory to have English as one of the 10+2 subjects.
  • Candidates who are appearing in 10+2 exam are eligible to appear for NCHMCT JEE 2019.
  • Candidates will be offered with the provisional basis admission. They have to submit all the proof of qualifying exams by or before September 30, 2019.

 

NCHMCT JEE 2019- Age Eligibility Criteria

Below are the mentioned Age Limits for Different Categories:

  • General & OBC: Upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2019
  • SC & ST: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 01.07.2019

  • 4 Marks for each correct answer in all 4 sections except for Aptitude for Service Sector.
  • -1 Mark for each wrong answer in all 4 sections
  • Grading Marks for Aptitude for Service Sector
  • 1 Mark for most appropriate, 0.75 Marks for next appropriate answer and 0.50, 0.25 Marks for the next appropriate answer.

NCHMCT JEE 2019 Section - Fair Exam Analysis by Pratham

1.Logical & Reasoning Ability


This was an easy to moderate section with 30 questions. In 30 minutes students were able to do around 20 - 22 questions as it comprised different questions on Blood Relations, Visual Reasoning, Series, Coding-Decoding, Seating arrangement etc. You can easily solve them by applying basic logic and simple formulas.

This was a moderate section with a total of 30 questions. Maximum questions of Numerical Ability were from percentage, Ratio, compound interest, Time, Speed, Work and Probability.

3.General Knowledge & Current Affairs 


Clearing this section needed basic knowledge of IX and X level Science subject. It was an easy section. Maximum questions were from current Affairs, geography, science  and minimum from General Knowledge. Many questions were asked from the area including awards, sports, personality, technology, hospitality and industry. Attempting 20 to 22 questions are good.

4.English Language

This section was a mix of Comprehensive and vocabulary reading. In Vocabulary, there were One-word Substitution, Spelling, Idioms, Synonyms and Antonyms with multiple reading Comprehensive passages. The overall difficulty of this paper was easy.

5.Aptitude for Service Sector

In total, it consisted of 50 questions which required common sense to answer and all were related to the service sector and real-life situations. This section basically tested your decision-making ability, personality traits and ability to react.

Details for Score Card 

NCHMCT JEE 2019 Scorecard consists merit list, candidate name, NCHMCT JEE application number, Roll number, Candidate photograph with signature and qualifying details. Score card will be released on May 21, 2019.

Normalisation of Score


Scores are normalized into two categories that ensure students are neither given any disadvantage nor any advantage. Below are two types of marks:

  • Raw marks: Actual marks obtained by the candidate
  • Normalised Marks: Modified marks of the candidate
